Accommodation for PFLC 2012 Delegates
The accommodation for the delegates has been arranged at the YHA Oxford (an immaculately presented, purpose-built Youth Hostel) and the Oxford Backpackers (very conveniently located at only 2 minutes walk from the city center and coach & train stations) in the separate male and female dormitories. This also includes breakfast for the delegates along with a number of other facilities including internet and lockers for keeping luggage until you leave after checking out.
At both youth hostels, guests can take advantage of a modern cafe serving drinks/snacks and a great value menu. The hostels have been allocated on the first come, first served basis. Delegates will be allocated rooms on a single-sex, sharing basis. We will aim to accommodate delegates from the same University or same group in the same room and also keep those rooms close to each other so that you all have a comfortable stay with your friends.
Facilities at Oxford Youth Hostels
Breakfast for both weekend mornings is included in the ticket price from all delegates (with accommodation tickets) for PFLC 2012. Both hostels offer some of the best facilities among youth hostels in the United Kingdom – there are separate 24/7 common room, TV lounge, normal lounge, library, restaurant and kitchen facilities. WiFi is available for use for all delegates in the hostel. It is a truly memorable experience for any delegate and an opportunity to make ever-lasting friendships for delegates attending PFLC.
The hostels are located close to the Oxford Rail Station on Botley Road. The Oxford City Centre and its renowned attractions including the Radcliffe Square and High Street are just 10 minutes walk away. Furthermore, other walks which are more off the beaten track but nevertheless beautiful like Port Meadows and Iffley Way are also within reach.
